Daisy Bank News and a Thank You

Please see the message below from the Daisy Bank CIC. The Parish Council were unanimous in helping support this purchase to ensure the land stays in the ownership of the community.

Dear Daisybank supporters,

We are incredibly excited to announce the successful purchase of the land at Daisybank – the sale has gone through and transfer of ownership is complete. A huge THANK YOU to the combined efforts of community supporters and organisations who helped the campaign and made this possible. We would like to thank everyone who contributed their stories and memories of Daisybank – the narratives highlighting the importance of this piece of land. We would like to thank everyone who gave their time to sharing and promoting the Daisybank campaign – your support has been invaluable. We would like to thank fundraisers, private donors, GoFundMe contributors and local businesses, along with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Leckhampton with Warden Hill Parish Council and Charlton Kings Parish Council – these grants and fundraising provided the essential funding for the purchase and will also financially support the ongoing efforts to ensure that Daisybank is protected and preserved as a cherished green space for the local community, wildlife, and future generations. We look forward to working with the community, ecologists and local partners on the next steps to look after this green space and will be in touch again soon. We have been truly overwhelmed by your incredible support and our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped make this possible.
