Shurdington Road/Kidnappers Lane closure update

GCC Highways have confirmed the following regarding the Miller development roadworks and the closing of Kidnappers Lane

• Kidnappers Lane will remain open and can only closed once a safe and suitable spine road is constructed that links to Shurdington Road.

• GCC Highways are working with a range of stakeholders including, the developer, planning, and our internal teams to ensure that the works are completed as soon as possible, to mitigate disruptions to residents and other road users on the broader local highway network.
• GCC highways will be putting in place a dedicated webpage with updates on the highway works progress, and information that will be helpful to the local community and other road users.
• GCC Highways will work with the Parish Council and also other community groups, so that they can collectively provide accurate and updated information that will address any concerns that are being raised.
