An update.

This land is in the process of being sold by Redrow to Newdawn Homes, who are a Cheltenham based family business. The land is still legally owned by Redrow, but they have entered into a conditional contract of sale with New Dawn Homes. Once the conditions of the contract are satisfied, the land sale will complete.

We received some complaints about bonfires on the site, whilst it was being cleared, so we contacted Newdawn Homes and they replied as per below. Please note that the protected orchard is still there, picture attached.

There have been accusations of works being undertaken on site during the
weekend of the 5th and 6th April and that there was burning on site. This is
incorrect and you will see no evidence of any fires on site and our landscape
contractors confirm that they did not do any burning and that no trees were
cut down in April and they left site completely on the 2nd April

They will be attending the PC meeting on 14th May, to talk about the development as they have to be make
a planning application to substitute the proposed house-types on the site, as Redrow have not given their permission for their standard house-types to be used.

The Application will propose new bespoke house-types that they have designed
specifically for the site. It will not make other changes, so that the
principle of development, the number and position of the houses, the road
access position, road layout, landscaping proposals, retained vintage
trees, drainage layout, etc, will all be as the Approved scheme, with only
minor alterations created by the house-type substitutions.
