CHL9 footpath - Order Decision - Not Confirmed

The Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, C Beeby BA (Hons) MIPROW, has made her decision in regard to the stopping up norder issued by GCC, which went to a public on November the 2nd 2021

• This Order is made under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and is known as the Gloucestershire County Council Public Footpath CHL 9 Parish of Leckhampton Stopping Up Order 2019.
• The Order is dated 4 December 2019 and proposes to extinguish the public right of way shown on the Order plan and described in the Order Schedule.
• There were 117 objections and 4 representations in support outstanding at the commencement of the inquiry.


Summary of Decision: The Order is not confirmed.

The Council would like to give its thanks to Cllr Mears, who spent many hours putting evidence together on behalf of the community to object to this stopping up order and spent two days at the enquiry. A fantastic result.
