The Build Back Better - Councillor Scheme now open
The Build Back Better - Councillor Scheme is a grant fund open to community
groups across Gloucestershire. Over £2.2 million is available to be spent on projects
to support the county's recovery from the Coivd-19 pandemic and to build back
better and stronger.
Each County Councillor has £40,000 to spend in their community over the next four
years.

Proposed waiting restrictions, Kidnappers Lane area
These GCC highways proposals aim to control parking near to the new secondary school that is currently under construction and forms part of that scheme. Latest Traffic monitoring results
We had the SID on Farmfield Road and the monitor box on Kidnappers Lane (on the bend) to capture traffic going from Shurdington Road up to Church Road.
Farmfield Road - little evidence of consistent speeding, just 5 - 7% of vehicles going over limit of 30 mph with the majority of drivers averaging 28 mph.

Cotswold Wardens install stone path from Merlin Way
Thanks to Wayne Sedgwick, the CBC ranger, and the Cotswold Wardens for organising and installing the footpath from Merlin Way to the bridge over the stream.
They managed to put all the stone down in four hours, which is amazing work.
Positive comments from all that passed by.
All the other "desire lines2 are closed with brash to encourage all to use the new path.

Doorstep crime is under reported by you, the general public. More often than not, the older and vulnerable in our communities are the people targeted.

Parish Council email to County Cllrs Nigel Moore and Vernon Smith regarding the need for a Highways masterplan

You may recall that I am on the Leckhampton with Warden Hill Parish Council and sit on the Highways Committee. Hampers for vulnerable families in the Parish
The Parish Council donated an additional £1000 last week to support the raising of funds to provide hampers for vulnerable families effected by the impact of Covid 19.
Cllr Tony Oliver attended a presentation at Warden Hill Primary school and Belmont school togive the hampers organised by Morrisons

Cotswold Volunteer Wardens repair work on footpath CHL8
